Prospector's Paradise is a luxury 4200+ sq ft vacation rental cabin sitting on nearly 3 acres of beautiful Sierra Mountain forest. Inside, there are 3 levels to explore.
On the main level, the spacious kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and appliances for preparing your meals. There is a large dining room that can accommodate your group.
The great room, with its vaulted ceiling and grand fireplace, is one of the favorite rooms for many of our guests. It is the center of the cabin and the perfect place to relax and gaze out the large, picturesque windows.
The main level contains 3 of the 4 bedrooms including the master bedroom which features an electric fireplace and an en-suite bathroom with a large soaking tub overlooking the forest. There is also a separate walk-in dual head shower. The hallway near the other 2 bedrooms has a shared full bath and there is another half bath by the garage.
The loft bedroom is above the great room and overlooks it as well as the front yard. The loft doubles as a playroom with toys and games in the closet and cabinets.
Downstairs is the game room where you can enjoy a game of air hockey, pool, darts, connect 4, arcades or enjoy a show on the TV. There is also a full bathroom adjacent to the rec room. Prospector has also recently added a Nintendo Switch game console for his guests!
We have a summer membership at Dogwood Lake, a lake for neighborhood residents. Most residents are older, so it is a serene environment for them, but it is family friendly and there are lake rules to abide by (not a party environment).
In the winter we occasionally have snow. There are sleds in the garage for your use as there are some small sledding areas on the property.

I definitely recommend Prospectors Paradise ….. The whole cabin was very spacious, clean and tidy, new sheets, lots of towels. Very well equiped kitchen and laundry, great lounge area, very amusing yard. Both Kids and adults enjoyed the cowboy town. Spacious deck and nice firepit area. The game room was a life saver! We also enjoyed the lake area. It was 5 min drive and only accessible for the members which keeps it semi private and clean. Kids had fun with paddling boats and playground.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this property deserves its five star rating. The house was in perfect order, clean and inviting, comfortable and luxurious. The owners have stocked it with every amenity you could need in the kitchen and everywhere. There is even shampoo conditioner and body wash in every shower. Tissue boxes in every room. They really did think of everything. There was also everything a kid could ask for including toys, sidewalk chalk, coloring stuff, basketballs, ride on toys, a zip line, games, a game room, smart TVs, and did I mention the backyard!

The home and property were perfect for our large family get-a-way! There was something for everyone from the game room, to the outdoor kitchen and deck, to the large dining table, to the LoveSac seat that nearly everyone in my family fought over whenever we were in the family room. Spectacular!

The house was super clean, and modern with plenty of room for our party of 7. The game room downstairs was a huge bonus especially when we were snowed in for the day. The property is an added bonus with the adorable western town! Unfortunately it was a little too cold and snowy for us to fully appreciate it, but if you stay during the warmer season and have younger children, they will love it! Tawny and Matt were very responsive, great hosts!
